Imagine entering a big, cold warehouse with red lights, and Depeche Mode playing in the background, ok so you got it? Now imagine amazing combination of textures, autumn colours such as burgundy, black, red, white, vertigo platforms, sexy backs, and an endless desire for every garment each model comes out wearing!!! That was the Sally Lapointe show for her A/W 13 collection, I was mesmerized (maybe even a bit hypnotized by the music and lights, all in a good way) with every piece, it’s exquisite details, the shapes of those long black dresses and their sexy back detailing! This designer has me “enamorada” with her style, vision, and that 90’s London feel! 

Imaginaros un almacén enorme, frio y con luces rojas mientras se escucha a Depeche Mode en el aire! Ahora imaginaros combinaciones de tejidos fascinantes, colores de invierno como el negro, bordeos, rojo y blanco, plataformas de vertigo, cortes sexys en la espalda, y un deseo insaciable por cada prenda que lleva cada una de las modelos! Pues asi fue el show de Sally Lapointe este pasado Febrero en Nueva York. Me dejo hipnotizada con cada pieza de su coleccion, sus detalles exquisitos, las formas y detalles de los hombros, los vestidos maxi con espaldas descubiertas! Sally Lapointe me tiene enamorada con su estilo London de los 90 y su vision sexy y femenina pero a la vez fuerte que cada una de nosotras tenemos! 

Snow Blues…

It seems like this winter is never ending, but I love winter clothes, layering, boots, cozy sweaters, and most of all Snow!!! Who doesn’t love the snowy mountains, skiing (not that Im a pro, but it’s fun), and just getting away from the city for a few days! While we were out in Timberline for a few days with friends, I of course could not help but prep fun looks for every day we were there (though I only managed to get 3 of them on film)! Here is my first look, with this amazingly blinding blue Maison Michel hat from Feminin Rascal (yes I only have a few favourite stores and that’s where I usually get my cool stuff;) that I have been dying to wear, my absolute star garment of this winter these Aperlaï Paris booties from Feminin Rascal (you guessed it) may I add they are MADE for the snow I did not slip nor fall in these heels (Im sure that crossed your minds for a sec there;), Zara printed trousers, Closed white tee, and Maje sweater. Hope you like this look as much as I do:)

Este invierno me parece eterno, pero no me puedo quejar porque me encanta vestir en ropa de invierno, botines, jerseys “oversized”, chaquetas de cuero, y mas que nada la Nieve me fascina! A quien no le encanta la nieve, las montañas, esquiar (no es que sea una pro), y escaparse unos dias de la ciudad a la tranquilidad de la naturaleza??! Para nuestros dias en Timberline, decidi preparar looks divertidos para cada dia, pero al final solo tuve tiempo de fotografiar 3 looks, y este es el primero (igual mi preferido)! Por fin he tenido la ocasión de estrenar mi gorro azul de Maison Michel y mis botines preferidos de este invierno de Aperlaï Paris, los dos comprados en Feminin Rascal (una tienda online de NYC tienen todo y mas de lo que nuestro corazón desea), pantalones print de Zara, camiseta de Closed, y jersey oversized de Maje. Espero que os guste este look, ya que a mi me encanta:)

The By Misha A/W 2013 presentation at The Highlight Loft, was definitely one that stood out for me (as I could invision myself with probably each one of the looks) with her romantic autumn colors, gold accents, floral details (especially on the shoulders/sleeves), gorgeous Lionette NY jewelry (ps: have a post coming on their collection, so stay tuned) and the breath taking hair & make up to match her truly dreamy and whimsical collection. Nemo did not stop me from getting to Misha Vaidya’s show, and I was lucky enough to be invited backstage and see all the hard work that goes into before the presentation! I was in a daze with the beautiful textures she put together, the subtle yet sexy way of showing just that little bit of skin, and what better way to steal a girls heart that with those big floral touches? Now I will just dream away and picture moi in some of By Misha’s pieces:) 

La presentación de By Misha en el Highlight Loft en Nueva York fue una de mis favoritas, destacando con colores romanticos, toques dorados, y detalles florales, una colección llena de romanticismo y a la vez sensualmente femenina. Esta diseñadora Britanica sabe muy bien como llegar a nuestros corazones! A la vez tuve la suerte de poder entrar backstage y sacar algunas fotos para que podais ver mejor el arte del maquillaje, pelo y de los detalles de cada pieza de la colección. Sinceramente puedo decir que no hay ni una pieza que no quiera en mi armario, especialmente las piezas con toques florales! Misha Vaidya me tiene hipnotizada y no puedo esperar a ver su próxima coleccion y como nos sorprenderá! Ah y no os perdais los anillos y joyería de Lionette NY (estoy obsesionada)!

FELIZ SAN VALENTIN

Valentine’s Day has come and gone, just like every year the anticipation and expectation builds up to that one day when we are supposed to LOVE and be loved, show that we care, how? By buying gifts, being extra thoughtful and being excellent consumers;) It is really interesting to walk around the streets and see gigantic teddy bears, flowers of all sorts (even in colors I had never seen), everyone is rushing to get their lovely cards, and planning last minute romantic dinners or getaways! This year for my Valentine’s Day I got a lot of love (not only from my hubby) but also from Nordstrom Pentagon City and MAC Cosmetics, they invited me for a make up session and to learn more about their new MAC line “Archie’s Girls” based on the comic book about two girls in love with the same guy, one is Betty (blonde) the girl next door and one is Veronica (brunette) the edgier and a bit more daring girl next door! For my look I decided to go with the Betty look, fun yet softer eyes, and lips. This collection is so fun, and gives us ladies the options we need in terms of shades of colors, I am obsessed with the Mascara (you all know how hard it is to find a great mascara) and the eye shadows!!! My look for the night is a maxi dress from Maje, very soft and delicate with sheerness on the bottom and exposed half back, my favourite olive green leather jacket with spikes, my M.N.O.logie personalised see through clutch, and my new Golden heels by Shoedazzle! 

San Valentin vino volando, sin darme cuenta volvi de #nyfw y ya era el dia de los enamorados! La gente corriendo de un lado a otro con flores en todos los colores, ositos de peluche gigantes, regalos y mas regalos, porque asi decimos Te Quiero! Mi San Valentin fue un pelin mas especial porque Nordstrom Pentagon City me regalo una sesión de maquillaje con MAC y su nueva linea de “Archie’s Girls”. La linea se basa en los personajes del comic, Betty (la rubia) y Veronica (la morena), para mi cita con mi marido escogí el look Betty un look divertido pero dulce con colores tierra y rosados para una velada romantica! Y mi sorpresa fue el rimel de esta colección, creando unas pestañas sin fin, y ya sabeis lo difícil que es encontrar un rimel bueno no? “Archie’s Girls” tiene colores divertidos desde las sombras de ojo, a los pinta labios, asi que si estais en busca de colores para esta primavera MAC los tiene! Espero que os gusten las fotos y mi look San Valentin:)
