What to pair with metallics on a hot summer day? Easy Peasy, Sandro denim like skirt, Sandro lose silky blue sky top, with retro shades and done you ready to roll out your door for a girly get together, a first date, or just a quick run to get your groceries;) (I won’t judge you;) When I first laid eyes on this KAYU clutch I knew it was love at first sight, but so many colors and so many wonderful choices which one do I pick… And then I remembered my princess like metallic Shoedazzle sandals (that my husband thinks look like my 5 year olds niece’s high heeled shoes she is ONLY allowed to wear at home to feel like a princess), nothing wrong with me wanting to feel like a little princess right?! SO back to my point, I chose this metallic clutch so I could pair it with my other metallic accessories, though this clutch in mint is to die for… Hope you enjoy this fresh look! 

Que ponerte en un dia de verano con accesorios de color metalico??? Facil, falda tipo tejano, top color azul cielo, con gafas estilo retro y preparadas para una primera cita, para quedar con las amigas o simplemente para sentirte guapa;)! Cuando vi este clutch de KAYU fue un flechazo, aunque lo pase un poco mal teniendo que escoger en los colores que venia, como el verde mint!!! Pero sabia que este color metal, quedaria genial con mis tacones tipo princesa de Shoedazzle (que mi marido odia porque dice que se parecen a las de mi sobrina de 5)!!! Espero que os guste este look fresh para el verano! 

I know I have been a little m.i.a lately, but this month has been filled with a lot of exciting new projects, on both professional and a personal level so I haven’t had a moment to sit down and post properly just as I love to do! By now it’s super hot, the kinda hot that requires carrying deodorant at all times in our bags, a bottle of water no matter where you’re going, and for those of you who have crazy looking hair anytime it gets humid always carry serum with you!;) OK so enough about the heat, two weekends ago it was still a little chilly, and so I decided to wear this Zara silky pyjama suit for Memorial Day, and made this look a total black & white one with my Shoedazzle wedges, Uterque clutch, and a see through black top from Urban Outfitters! Ya se que ultimamente ando un poco perdida, pero este mes ha sido locura en cuanto a mi vida profesional y personal y no he tenido ni un momento para sentarme y escribir un post bien escrito como a mi gusta! Con el tiempo que ha pasado ya ha llegado la calor asfixiante de DC, esa calor que nos urge cargar en nuestros bolsos, deodorante, serum para la melena, y la botella de agua para mantenernos bien hidratadas! Basta con la calor, hace dos semanas aun podiamos disfrutar de un aire fresco, y para Memorial Day decidi llevar un look negro & blanco total, con este traje pyjama de Zara, monedero de Uterque, top transparente de urban Outfitter, y mis sandalias de Shoedazzle! Getting your skin summer ready and impeccably smooth is what we all want! Personally I know how frustrating it is when you have sensitive skin, and you try product after product and nothing works! When I got this Mirenesse Endless Youth Cleanser, I was a bit skeptical since it said I could use it twice a day and it wouldn’t dry my skin… They do NOT lie, this cleanser is Magical may I say it again? Personalmente se lo frustrante que es ser dueña de una piel sensible, y intentar un producto después de otro para que ninguno funcione! Cuando recibí mi Mirenesse Endless Youth Cleanser, no me podia creer que fuera tan bueno como decían que yo con mi piel sensible y delicada podria lavarme la cara dos veces al dia sin que se me seque la piel? Puedo confirmar que  asi es, y este producto es una maravilla! Me deja la piel radiante y perfecta para aplicarme mi cremita y mi maquillaje:)! This is not my way to teach or preach, but I am not a big follower of trends and I usually try to stick to timeless pieces and very casual and neutral garments. For me style is all about having your own identity and not being a slave to fashion trends. I guess what Im trying to say is that I don’t think I need to wear every trend that’s fed to me by magazines, brands, etc… I just pick what I identify with my own style and what I feel comfortable with, because style is about having a touch of class with a certain attractiveness! So as some of you might be aware I am turning the big oh 30!!! So why not be a tiny bit more daring, and welcome the summer with color, bold prints, and vertigo heels;) This was my Cinco de Mayo look, my hubby and I decided to celebrate it on our rooftop, with yummy food and a nice summer breeze… I chose colors and prints, because when I think of Mexico and it’s culture that’s what I invision, loads of beautiful colors and prints. Mixing prints is definitely not that simple, because may I say it is really easy to end up looking like a cartoon character, and not in a good way (a good way would be by looking like one of those gorgeous big eyed Manga characters)! I chose these Zara orange leopard printed trousers with my Sandro silk mirrored fish print, so I mixed water & earth, and I think the colors and prints blended together beautifully without being loud in an obnoxious way! 

Aqui teneis mi look del Cinco de Mayo, para esta ocasion escogi mezclar estampados! Normalmente no suelo seguir las tendencias, ya que pienso que el estilo es algo muy personal de cada persona, y todos necesitamos expresarnos con las prendas que llevamos y no simplemente seguir las tendencias que nos marcan las revistas, o las marcas! Pero obviamente podemos encontrar tendencias con las que nos identificamos y las podemos moldear con nuestro toque personal! Normalmente me gustan los colores mas neutrales, y no las prendas muy chillonas, pero como voy a cumplir mis 30 tacos:)! he decidido arriesgarme un poco mas  aunque sea de vez en cuando e intentar llevar mas colores y porque no estampados?!, y asi darle la bienvenida al verano y a mi nuevo prefijo;)!

Maxi skirts makes me happy, they are perfect for any occasion and it is definitely a quick fix for a chic daytime or evening look! As some of you may know red is one of my very fave colours, it exudes power and femininity, and makes your look pop up no matter what, and mixing it with gives it a softer touch! I decided to strut around the streets of El Borne in Barcelona, wearing this look with my summer Joanna Maxham bag. Oh how I miss thee Barcelona…

Las faldas maxi son una de mis prendas preferidas en mi armario, te pones una falda maxi y tienes un look chic, de dia o de noche para cualquier ocasion! Y como ya muchas de vosotras sabeis uno de mis colores top es el rojo, un color fuerte y femenino que siempre te hace destacar, y estilizar este color con el blanco le da un toque suave y perfecto para la primavera! En mi ultimo viaje a Barcelona decidi ponerme este look para un paseo por el Borne, con mi bolso de Joanna Maxham… Ay cuanto te hecho de menos Barcelona…

Anyone else familiar with that joy that Winter is long gone? I can’t really say that we are enjoying Spring since it is actually Summer all of a sudden in DC! But we did get a few days of that spring sunny breeze! So what do you wear, when you are pale (in my case as a ghost), still have to find all your spring pieces in your closet, and feel like you need to lose a few of those wintery pounds? Easy! The key word is LOOSE pieces, loose tops/tees, trousers/skirts and if you are like me and not a big fan of your white legs maxi everything;)! That’s why I decided to combine my CLOSED white tee with a touch of pastel colors, with loose tuxedo trousers from Zara, with my favourite H&M denim jacket, and my suede heels from Zara which truthfully kill my feet but are so worth it, I got them 5 years ago and they’ve walked a long way with me from Barcelona, to Madrid to DC;)! 

Os suena esa felicidad de saber que el invierno se acabo y no tenemos que taparnos con abrigos, bufandas o botas!? No os puedo decir que llego la primavera a DC porque la verdad es que de repente llego el calor del verano, pero si que pudimos disfrutar de unos dias de primavera! Y que nos ponemos cuando estamos palidas, aun no hemos cambiado el armario de invierno a verano, y nos quedan algunos kilitos de mas gracias al invierno!? Facil! Ropa suelta es la respuesta, camisetas sueltas, pantalones sueltos, o si eres como yo y no te gustan tus piernas blancas todo maxi es la otra respuesta;)! Por eso escogi este look, con mi T-shirt de CLOSED, mi pantalon “tuxedo” de Zara, con mi chaqueta tejano de H&M, y mis tacones de ZARA que la verdad destrozan mis pies pero las adoro! Las llevo desde hace 5 años y han caminado conmigo desde Barcelona, a Madrid y finalmente DC;)!

Denim is always the best way to put a daily casual look together, especially when you’re struggling with wardrobe inspiration, have zero time to put a look together, or simply when you’re just NOT in the mood to over think about what you’re gonna wear that day! This is how this look came about for me, and to add a little different touch I wore my Zara denim shirt with burgundy trousers, and these vertigo boot wedges by Camilla Skovgard! Because feeling tall (even if for a few hours) always makes me feel great:) 

Las prendas “denim” siempre simplifican tu dia para crear un look, esos dias que no tenemos ganas de pensarnoslo demasiado, que ponernos, que no ponernos? Lo mas facial es buscar tu prenda denim y combinarla con una prenda comoda y con un toque diferente! Este pasado finde tuve uno de esos dias, que no tenia nada de ganas de pensarmelo demasiado, asi que me puse mi camisa tejano de Zara, con pantalon burdeos, y mis plataformas de Camilla Skovgaard, porque a quien no le gusta sentirse alta aunque sea para unas horas?

With the hopes that the winter and snow will soon be long gone, I post my last snow(y) look, which we took on our way back from the mountains, we decided to stop and take in this amazing panorama! Im not used (nor prepared) for this cold, so my wardrobe didn’t consist of many warm pieces (since Barcelona gets snow every 7 years), but the one that I treasure forever is this furry hooded sweater that I wear to layer with any and everything throughout the winter, a definite must for every closet (and for anyone who wants to keep warm while looking fresh;) Here I have layered it with my LNA shirt (they are my favourite go to for gorgeous basic shirts, sweaters etc…), my faux fur coat by Calvin Klein, Maje dark blue denim, my high heeled rainy boots by Miss Sixty, and blue accessories my Prada bag and LionetteNY ring! 

Con la esperanza y con ganas de que este invierno se acabe, aqui os traigo mi ultimo look de nieve, estas fotos fueron sacadas en el camino de vuelta de nuestro ski weekend! Quien no pararia para ver estos panoramas? En este look llevo mi abrigo “faux fur” de Calvin Klein, jersey “fur” con capucha, camisa de LNA, tejanos de Maje, botas de lluvia con tacon de Miss Sixty, y accesorios azules, mi bolso de Prada y anillo de LionetteNY! 

YES Im freezing in most of these pics, but it was all worth it;) Oh and I also almost fell a few times with my new Shoedazzle pumps, but I didn’t care because I wanted to show you all that no matter the weather style always comes through, and if we have a few favourite pieces that we simply can’t stop wearing (in my case these pumps) who cares what the weather is! right? So for my second snow look, I chose my Closed two toned suede Biker jacket, white distressed Closed jeans, my hubby’s Uniqlo sweater (to keep warm), red Sandro scarf, mirrored sunglasses and my treasured Shoedazzle Dana two toned suede pumps! 

SI lo habéis adivinado me estoy congelando en todas estas fotos, pero valió la pena;)! Ah y casi me cai un par con mis Shoedazzle “pumps”, pero la verdad es no me importo nada de nada;)! Porque os queria enseñar que si tenemos nuestras piezas preferidas y nos las queremos poner no importa el tiempo, la nieve o el frio, porque aveces el estilo es lo primero! Aqui tenéis mi segundo look de nieve, mi chaqueta de dos tonos en ante de Closed, mis tejanos blancos de Closed, jersey de mi marido de Uniqlo, bufanda roja de Sandro, gafas de sol efecto espejo, y mis pumps de Shoedazzle de dos tonos en ante!

I was recently asked which Spring Trend I was most excited to wear, and truthfully if you know me, or have been kinda following my blog you would notice that I am not huge on trends or following trends, I guess it’s the more laid back Barcelona attitude that’s been cultivated in me, or maybe the fact that my style consists in what I believe are timeless pieces (which helps my buying process a TON)! But (there’s always a but) I did fall (hard) for studs/spikes this fall, and a “trend” Ive always been a huge fan of is sheerness (sheer delight) and I cannot wait for it this Spring!! So a way for me to add that little touch of sheerness in these past cold months has been through wearing my MOST adored accessory a personalized see through MNO.logie clutch! I’ve had it for a few months, and there isn’t an outfit I can’t put it together with, it adds magic to any look! I love the fact that you can get this clutch personalized with your name, or if you need to get someone a gift what better one that this Gorgeous sheer clutch?! ps: I know Im kind of a red head in these shots, not a huge fan, hopefully I will be going blonde AGAIN soon;)! 

Hace poco me preguntaron cual es mi tendencia preferida de esta primavera, y la verdad es que si me conocéis o seguís mi blog aunque sea un poco, ya sabeis que no sigo mucho las tendencias, igual es mi lado relajado a lo “Barcelona style” o simplemente que me gustan escoger piezas eternas para mi armario y que aqui de un par de años pueda seguir utilizándolos! Pero lo admito (porque casi siempre hay un pero) este invierno fui víctima de la super tendencia de los spikes/studs (tachuelas/picos) y siempre me ha encantado la tendencia de sheerness (transparencia)! No puedo esperar a que llegue la primavera para poder llevar la transparencia con elegancia;)! Así que en estos dias de invierno lo he llevado con un toque especial, mi accesorio estrella este clutch personalizado de MNO.logie, para darles a mis looks un toque magico y esencial! No os parece fantastico??! Por cierto ya se que en estas fotos salgo un pelín pelirroja pero espero poder cambiarlo PRONTO y volver a mis dias de rubia (de pote) ;)!!!!

Imagine entering a big, cold warehouse with red lights, and Depeche Mode playing in the background, ok so you got it? Now imagine amazing combination of textures, autumn colours such as burgundy, black, red, white, vertigo platforms, sexy backs, and an endless desire for every garment each model comes out wearing!!! That was the Sally Lapointe show for her A/W 13 collection, I was mesmerized (maybe even a bit hypnotized by the music and lights, all in a good way) with every piece, it’s exquisite details, the shapes of those long black dresses and their sexy back detailing! This designer has me “enamorada” with her style, vision, and that 90’s London feel! 

Imaginaros un almacén enorme, frio y con luces rojas mientras se escucha a Depeche Mode en el aire! Ahora imaginaros combinaciones de tejidos fascinantes, colores de invierno como el negro, bordeos, rojo y blanco, plataformas de vertigo, cortes sexys en la espalda, y un deseo insaciable por cada prenda que lleva cada una de las modelos! Pues asi fue el show de Sally Lapointe este pasado Febrero en Nueva York. Me dejo hipnotizada con cada pieza de su coleccion, sus detalles exquisitos, las formas y detalles de los hombros, los vestidos maxi con espaldas descubiertas! Sally Lapointe me tiene enamorada con su estilo London de los 90 y su vision sexy y femenina pero a la vez fuerte que cada una de nosotras tenemos! 

It seems like this winter is never ending, but I love winter clothes, layering, boots, cozy sweaters, and most of all Snow!!! Who doesn’t love the snowy mountains, skiing (not that Im a pro, but it’s fun), and just getting away from the city for a few days! While we were out in Timberline for a few days with friends, I of course could not help but prep fun looks for every day we were there (though I only managed to get 3 of them on film)! Here is my first look, with this amazingly blinding blue Maison Michel hat from Feminin Rascal (yes I only have a few favourite stores and that’s where I usually get my cool stuff;) that I have been dying to wear, my absolute star garment of this winter these Aperlaï Paris booties from Feminin Rascal (you guessed it) may I add they are MADE for the snow I did not slip nor fall in these heels (Im sure that crossed your minds for a sec there;), Zara printed trousers, Closed white tee, and Maje sweater. Hope you like this look as much as I do:)

Este invierno me parece eterno, pero no me puedo quejar porque me encanta vestir en ropa de invierno, botines, jerseys “oversized”, chaquetas de cuero, y mas que nada la Nieve me fascina! A quien no le encanta la nieve, las montañas, esquiar (no es que sea una pro), y escaparse unos dias de la ciudad a la tranquilidad de la naturaleza??! Para nuestros dias en Timberline, decidi preparar looks divertidos para cada dia, pero al final solo tuve tiempo de fotografiar 3 looks, y este es el primero (igual mi preferido)! Por fin he tenido la ocasión de estrenar mi gorro azul de Maison Michel y mis botines preferidos de este invierno de Aperlaï Paris, los dos comprados en Feminin Rascal (una tienda online de NYC tienen todo y mas de lo que nuestro corazón desea), pantalones print de Zara, camiseta de Closed, y jersey oversized de Maje. Espero que os guste este look, ya que a mi me encanta:)

The By Misha A/W 2013 presentation at The Highlight Loft, was definitely one that stood out for me (as I could invision myself with probably each one of the looks) with her romantic autumn colors, gold accents, floral details (especially on the shoulders/sleeves), gorgeous Lionette NY jewelry (ps: have a post coming on their collection, so stay tuned) and the breath taking hair & make up to match her truly dreamy and whimsical collection. Nemo did not stop me from getting to Misha Vaidya’s show, and I was lucky enough to be invited backstage and see all the hard work that goes into before the presentation! I was in a daze with the beautiful textures she put together, the subtle yet sexy way of showing just that little bit of skin, and what better way to steal a girls heart that with those big floral touches? Now I will just dream away and picture moi in some of By Misha’s pieces:) 

La presentación de By Misha en el Highlight Loft en Nueva York fue una de mis favoritas, destacando con colores romanticos, toques dorados, y detalles florales, una colección llena de romanticismo y a la vez sensualmente femenina. Esta diseñadora Britanica sabe muy bien como llegar a nuestros corazones! A la vez tuve la suerte de poder entrar backstage y sacar algunas fotos para que podais ver mejor el arte del maquillaje, pelo y de los detalles de cada pieza de la colección. Sinceramente puedo decir que no hay ni una pieza que no quiera en mi armario, especialmente las piezas con toques florales! Misha Vaidya me tiene hipnotizada y no puedo esperar a ver su próxima coleccion y como nos sorprenderá! Ah y no os perdais los anillos y joyería de Lionette NY (estoy obsesionada)!

Valentine’s Day has come and gone, just like every year the anticipation and expectation builds up to that one day when we are supposed to LOVE and be loved, show that we care, how? By buying gifts, being extra thoughtful and being excellent consumers;) It is really interesting to walk around the streets and see gigantic teddy bears, flowers of all sorts (even in colors I had never seen), everyone is rushing to get their lovely cards, and planning last minute romantic dinners or getaways! This year for my Valentine’s Day I got a lot of love (not only from my hubby) but also from Nordstrom Pentagon City and MAC Cosmetics, they invited me for a make up session and to learn more about their new MAC line “Archie’s Girls” based on the comic book about two girls in love with the same guy, one is Betty (blonde) the girl next door and one is Veronica (brunette) the edgier and a bit more daring girl next door! For my look I decided to go with the Betty look, fun yet softer eyes, and lips. This collection is so fun, and gives us ladies the options we need in terms of shades of colors, I am obsessed with the Mascara (you all know how hard it is to find a great mascara) and the eye shadows!!! My look for the night is a maxi dress from Maje, very soft and delicate with sheerness on the bottom and exposed half back, my favourite olive green leather jacket with spikes, my M.N.O.logie personalised see through clutch, and my new Golden heels by Shoedazzle! 

San Valentin vino volando, sin darme cuenta volvi de #nyfw y ya era el dia de los enamorados! La gente corriendo de un lado a otro con flores en todos los colores, ositos de peluche gigantes, regalos y mas regalos, porque asi decimos Te Quiero! Mi San Valentin fue un pelin mas especial porque Nordstrom Pentagon City me regalo una sesión de maquillaje con MAC y su nueva linea de “Archie’s Girls”. La linea se basa en los personajes del comic, Betty (la rubia) y Veronica (la morena), para mi cita con mi marido escogí el look Betty un look divertido pero dulce con colores tierra y rosados para una velada romantica! Y mi sorpresa fue el rimel de esta colección, creando unas pestañas sin fin, y ya sabeis lo difícil que es encontrar un rimel bueno no? “Archie’s Girls” tiene colores divertidos desde las sombras de ojo, a los pinta labios, asi que si estais en busca de colores para esta primavera MAC los tiene! Espero que os gusten las fotos y mi look San Valentin:)

I am a bit on the late side of posting about #nyfw but things were hectic while I was there, and quite frankly I wanted to enjoy the moment, take it all in, be inspired and meet as many wonderful people as I could (and so I did). NOVIS was the first presentation/show I was lucky to attend, once my name was checked and I was given the ok to walk in, it was as if I got magically transported to Paris in the 60’s and could smell the pain au chocolat with my cafe au lait, with the French music in the background, the beautiful red dresses, embellished dresses, blue velvet jumpsuit (Je Want so bad), leopard prints, and my oh my those bangs I have so long lusted after (though can never pull it off cause my hair is way too thick)! This designer has stolen my heart and made me so nostalgic for Europe (I was ready to buy my ticket back home right then and there) and of course Paris! It was such a romantic show and collection, just the perfect place to bring your date and secretly motivate him into buying you pretty much everything if he wants to see you again:) That wouldn’t be a bad first date right? So I leave you with a few images to see for yourselves how this young and talented designer Jordana Warmflash made us believe in dreams and romance again with these beautifully vintage inspired pieces! NOVIS fue el primer show/presentacion al que atendi en NY, no puedo decir nada mas que me enamore por completo de la coleccion inspirada por Paris, la era de los 60, un aire chic, femenino y romantico! Aqui teneis algunas fotos de los vestidos rojos, trajes y mono terciopelo azul, lazos exagerados, flequillos super vintage y Parisian chic! Hace falta decir mas? Creo que no, ahora os toca juzgar vosotras mismas;) Yo me quedo con el mono azul terciopelo! 

Yes the title has #nyfw (had to hashtag it), and no the images are not shot in NYC, why? Unfortunately my hubby couldn’t make it with me, and I only trust him to snap my looks (I will make sure he comes with me for next fashion week) So I decided to snap a few looks I knew I would be wearing while in NY, (a girl has to “improvisar”) and he snapped away so I could share them here with all of you. For this look I chose my new camo trousers from Zara, a fuchsia angora sweater by Sandro (both pieces were a last minute shopping spree in nyc two weeks ago), I paired this look with Maison Fabre gloves from Feminin Rascal, Stella McCartney booties, Twice as Warm beanie y mi new Stitch Collective clutch by Mayang Anggraeni! Si el titulo lo dice bien claro, este look esta hecho para la semana de moda en Nueva York! Pero como mi marido no pudo venir conmigo:( Tuve que improvisar para poder compartir con vosotr@s algunos looks que tenia en mente para NY! Mi ultima visita a NY fue hace dos semanitas y tuve un momentito para ir de compras (yay) y aqui llevo las piezas que compre, tejanos “camouflage” de Zara, jersey fucsia de Sandro, y estos guantes de Maison Fabre de Feminin Rascal (mi tienda online preferida). In New York city there are endless boutiques and stores to visit/shop or simply window shop, which is my usual cardio while in the city (or any other city I visit). Though this time the cardio was all about my hubby’s list of Men stores to hit before we head back to DC. Our last stop was Onassis which he obsessively talked about the whole day (I love how he loves clothes & style just as much as I do), he wanted to see their store, the coffeeshop, and their collection, and he was RIGHT! It was well worth it walking around in this Awful cold weather to land in this store, right as we walked in they welcomed us beautifully and offered a cup of coffee (oui oui say no more) and as soon as I told them I would love to take photos for my blog, they were more than happy to show me around the store, and tell me about the history and essence of the brand! Now that’s what I call customer service and genuinely nice people. The store  really gives off a relaxed and laid back vibe with dim lights, mellow colors, all wood everything, and my favorite spot their coffeeshop. Onassis mixes beautifully the American casual style with the innovative and clean Japanese influence, this brand is a perfect fusion of both continents, and all I can say is I wish they had women’s wear, though I did fall in love with their accessories, amazing leather wallets, and travel bags (evidenced in my pictured with one of the bags). “En Resumen” as we say in Spanish, if you are looking for timeless pieces for your men (or yourselves if there’s men reading this, which would make me super happy) Onassis is where you will find those soft button-downs, all sorts of flannels, and jeans/chinos that will never go out of style!  

Last week I tagged along with my husband to his business trip to New York, for the menswear shows Capsule and Project, and while we there we took some free time to wonder around Soho in search of the boutiques we had on our “to do list”! We did not take into consideration that it would be one of the coldest days of January, I forgot my gloves at home and literally thought my fingers were gonna lose all feeling! So I layered my way into the cold, and braved it with this look;) After all there isn’t any temperature that can stop me from wandering around Soho in search of my favorite stores (Maje, Sandro) and new ones we were ready to take on! Oh and thanks to my friend Mariana I braved another big mental NO NO, leather leggings, am in love and obsessed with these Halston ones! And with my new Thierry Lasry sunnies from Feminin Rascal, as I’ve mentioned before one of my favorite online stores to get my hands on the latest European designers!

Have you ever had a friend who is so infectious through her personality, style, laughter, energy that anything she does or says has you in a daze? Well meet Gina she is my infectious (in a good way) kinda friend! Gina and I go back to our Barcelona times, we had briefly met years ago because her younger brother and my cousin are in a rock band together called The Walkers (mental note MUST do a post about them), but we never hung out, till a few summers ago when we were both in NY visiting and we connected! Then Gina moved to Barcelona, so the inevitable happened (instant friends), we had so much in common, we both went to the same college in London (though different years), we both grew up in different cities and moved around most of our lives, speak various languages, love fashion, music, makeup, and hot guys (then again who doesn’t?)! Funnily enough we both also ended up moving to the US, different cities but not so far away she is in NY and Im in DC, and it is always SO amazing to know I have someone from back home not too far away. When I went to NY last week I met her at her very OWN studio Artist & Agency (so proud of you tia;)! Artist & Agency is a New York based boutique agency representing talented and top notch photographers/directors, names such as Gilles Bensimon or Rasmus Mogensen ring a bell? Yes be jealous, those are just a few of the talented people she gets to work with and hang out! While we were catching up she was showing me and telling me about all the amazing work her team and artists have been working on. And of course I couldn’t help but being mesmerized by her style, that necklace, those dark purple lips, and all the makeup goodies and last minute Gilt shopping she had lying around her office. Most importantly that Chanel bag (drooling) that of course comes with that Gina story: “OHHHH and the story behind the chanel bag is that I stumbled into a chanel store dressed like crap and the girls were so snooty I bought a bag and dropped my coffee on the floor.” Now I suddenly have the urge to do just that (don’t you?), except Im gonna have to wait till I can actually afford that bag;)

Raise your hand if you are walking around with a busted iPhone! Now raise your hand if like me, you have had to go into dark and sketchy garages where someone who could barely speak English was awaiting to fix your phone, and one of his main tools were his long (ass) nails! YUP that was one of my experiences when I first moved to DC, not pleasant to say the least, but if you live in NYC you no longer need to worry about it, now you have three “knights in shining armor” who in a NY minute will ride their bikes, with their tools handy to find you wherever you are and fix your busted phone! Gotham Iphone was launched just this year by three friends, (meet) Scott, Josh (though he couldn’t be with us that day) and Corey, who are the technicians you can call for immediate service at the convenience of your home, office or anywhere else! I met Corey and Scott through a mutual friend and thought their idea was genius, and since I was in NY for Men’s fashion events, I thought it would be great to learn more about them, Gotham Iphone and their style, and share it with you ladies;) See for yourselves what immediately went through my head while chatting with them, good looking, smart, funny guys, I would totally hang out with them and (trust me) so would you;) Oh did I mention they are on GilT City? Now raise your hand, if you don’t wanna walk around Fashion Week with a busted iphone!

When Holly (the editor of Refinery29 DC) got in touch with me and told me she wanted to feature me on Refinery29 as for their “1 girl 4 looks” post, I couldn’t believe it, and I had less than a week to prepare the looks… Obviously the first thing that crossed my mind is WHAT DO I WEAR? and then the other usual thought I DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO WEAR… So not true!!! After I calmed down I decided to walk into my closet as if it were someone else’s wardrobe, and started hand picking my favorite garments, and thinking of 4 different looks I would wear in these cold January days!
